"I loved the atmosphere, presentation, and, most importantly, the taste of my meal. The service was excellent also! Oscars at the Museum is the latest locavore restaurant addition to Birmingham. Their vegetables are from the Jones Valley Urban Farm, and all other foods are from local vendors."

"So, when I heard that Oscar's, a new cafe in the Museum (owned and managed by A Social Affair) would incorporate as many local ingredients as possible, include "the art of eating local" in their tag line, and use this opportunity through food to educate our locals and guests...well, I got excited... The sandwich was delicious and the Lady Pea Salad was so fresh that I swore those peas came straight from the garden to my plate. I ended the dining experience with banana pudding served in a small mason jar, which I thought was super clever and fun. Lawsy me... that 'nana pudding was good: sweet, cold, and the texture was creamy with the perfect soft crunch from the wafers. DELICIOUS. I loved the open space, the bright green motif, and I really liked the menu choices."

"They call it 'upscale comfort food,' which works. I ordered something a bit unusual for me—the beef tenderloin sandwich—because I wanted to try the grass-fed beef tenderloin (it also comes with caramelized onions, gorgonzola, arugula and homemade smoke mayo, and tomatoes...). Served on cibatta bread with fresh strawberries, blackberries, and melons, it was a perfect lunch."

"Everything about Oscar's is so fresh and inviting. Luckily there were four of us because we wanted most everything on the menu. The sweet potato fries are like dessert; the tomatoes and peas in my salad like 'just-picked out back'; and the banana pudding any Mom would be proud of. It was all scrumptious and will make Oscar's a reason in itself to come to the Museum."

"It was wonderful and all the senses were stimulated... sight, sounds, smells and taste. I loved the atmosphere, the food was delicious, and it had great energy."
